PREP is an extension of PART designed to work with individuals cycling through the Sobering Center, public health, and criminal justice systems. These individuals receive focused attention and are given the opportunity to address critical health and life issues necessary to gain stability. The goal of this program is to improve client level of motivation to engage in addiction recovery preparing them to enroll in community programs suitable to their health and life circumstances.
How it works:
- Recovery support specialists work with clients each week on their needs such as dental, medical, mental health, and housing assistance in order for them to reach a place where they can focus on their substance use recovery journey.
- This is a client-centered program where each client will define their own goals with assistance from the recovery support specialists to work through and achieve.
