Public Intoxication Transport
Proactive street intervention program with management districts and police throughout Houston metroWe do more than wait for clients to be brought to us—we seek them out.
That means working on the streets with people who are actively using substances, and that is exactly what the Public Intoxication Transport team does. Emergency medical technicians and peer recovery support specialists patrol and respond to calls regarding public intoxication, providing interventions, conducting wellness checks, and transporting impaired individuals to the sobering center. In short, they build relationships with people on the streets and connect them with the resources they need to improve their quality of life and build a sustainable road to recovery.
