Why a Recovery Center

Substance Use Disorder is a Public Health Issue

At the heart of public intoxication lies the possibility that the person has a substance use issue. We care about that.

Every sobering center admission presents our Peer Recovery Support Specialists the opportunity to spend time with the client, build rapport and learn what matters most to him/her while screening for the misuse of substances in the client’s life.
Having peer-to-peer recovery conversations is at the heart of our service model. From this conversation, a spectrum of support options are offered, ranging from a follow-up telephone call to a team-supported 18-month recovery program.

Should a client show signs of having a substance use issue and decline assistance, their decision is respected and they are encouraged to return when ready. Sixteen percent of the clients enrolled in our Partners in Recovery program come back on their own after a law enforcement diversion. Our door is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for anyone who decides they want help.
Change begins at the heart.

More than a place to get sober, Houston Recovery Center is just that. A center dedicated to client recovery.
