Houston Recovery Initiative
BUILDING RECOVERY COMMUNITIES ONE VOICE AT A TIME
Houston Recovery Initiative
The Houston Recovery Initiative (HRI) is transforming how we think about recovery, moving from episodes of treatment into a larger recovery-oriented continuum of care. HRI creates opportunities to collaborate with agencies across Houston, working together to aid those in our community affected by substance misuse. This important work is carried out through volunteer workgroups.
BUILDING RECOVERY COMMUNITIES
The HRI Objective is to implement a ROSC model for Houston by:
- Increasing access to housing
- Building a stronger relationship with mutual aid resources, including the 12-step community
- Establishing Recovery Community Centers
- Educating the community on best practices for treatment and the Chronic Care Model
- Developing and implementing a ROSC model for adolescents with substance use disorders
