Michelle Alexander has been with the Star of Hope Mission for over 20 years and is currently serving as the Vice President of Programs. Prior to coming to Star of Hope, Michelle worked for an array of social services agencies in and outside the nonprofit world.
She received her undergraduate degree with a double major in Social Work and Psychology from
Houston Baptist University and a joint master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and Urban Studies from Michigan State University. Michelle is also a licensed clinical social worker and a Texas board-approved supervisor (LCSW-S). She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Michelle enjoys working alongside staff in developing and implementing programs that can help
transform the lives of individuals. She is excited to be a part of the Houston Recovery Center and looks forward to actively participating in its future growth.
