The Houston Recovery Center supplements the continuum of care by offering comprehensive Houston homeless substance abuse programs that reach our clients where they are. 88 percent of our clients are homeless, with many also suffering from mental illness and facing barriers because of a criminal past. How Homeless Continuum of Care Programs integrate with other Community Partners
Homeless continuum of care programs in Houston collaborate to improve utilization of healthcare and law enforcement resources by homeless individuals and families. The continuum of care network also works to quickly rehome those who are suffering from homelessness, all while minimizing the trauma surrounding this unfortunate life event.
Houston Recovery Center supports these goals by formally partnering with local law enforcement, medical and mission organizations. We provide resources that eliminate the need for homeless substance abuse clients to continually face law enforcement action, instead providing a positive environment for them to grow and overcome substance abuse challenges.
Our criminal justice program further assists those who are suffering from substance abuse in jail, preparing them for release and providing intensive support through the Partners in Recovery Program after they leave.
