Here at the Houston Recovery Center, we implement substance use disorder peer recovery support for the clients that desire long-term treatment for their addictions.

Our facility and corresponding service provides an avenue for intoxicated men and women to safely sober up instead of being booked in a local jail where they fill a limited number of beds reserved for criminal offenses. Not only do we provide this short-term monitored care for clients needing to sober up, we also work with partner organizations within the community to hand these individuals off to reliable substance use disorder services if they are ready to move forward in their recovery process.

We do not and cannot do this work alone. Our community service providers deliver the addiction treatment and recovery services that make up our program.

Partners in providing our clients with permanent rehabilitation

Substance use disorder and mental health peer recovery support is paramount for people with behavioral health issues who want to live a constructive life. That’s why, instead of serving as a revolving door for the local community, the Houston Recovery Center offers addiction and mental health support programs delivered by our Personal Addiction Recovery Team (PART).

Our staff works with clients, managing their cases and connecting them with peers and resources needed for recovery. With our substance use disorder peer recovery support, clients get direct support through evidence-based practices and a team of trained, dedicated team members.

PART staff go out into the community and meet with clients in settings where they are most comfortable — community centers, coffee shops and more. Our substance use disorder support programs are highly effective in finally getting men and women to recover from addiction — and we have the success stories to back it up.
